Stephen Sokoler is the Founder, President & CEO of Altrum Honors. GK first began working with Stephen’s first company in 2007, Stephen purchased the Financial Division forming a new company, Icon Recognition which we branded and created the website. As President of Icon Recognition, Stephen spearheaded the acquisition of The Gifted Portfolio as well as the merger with Don McDonald, creating Altrum Group. From 2009 to 2011, Stephen continued to expand the international business for the Altrum Group, opening offices in London, Montreal, and Hong Kong. In late 2011 Stephen moved to Australia to open Altrum’s fifth office in Sydney. After returning to New York, Stephen rebranded Altrum Group as Altrum Honors, with their mission to inspire achievement worldwide.
Stephen is an entrepreneur whose business ventures began at a young age. He ran several successful companies throughout high school and in college and in 2006, Stephen opened and operated Society Bar & Restaurant in New York City’s Greenwich Village. Stephen holds a degree in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he was a Founder’s Scholar. He studied in England, France, Italy, and a full semester in Madrid. Stephen enjoys travel, reading, exercise, and basketball. He grew up in Douglaston, New York and currently lives in the West Village in New York City.
